This summer we jumped into the deep end, we thought. Tate and I decided to learn how to make ratatouille. Thanks to Bistro Jeanty, in Yountville, we knew it was delicious, but we were scared to try it on our own. We decided that we couldn't mess it up too badly so we gave it a try. We used this recipe from Tasty and it was nearly as hard as we feared! It takes patience to get the fancy swirl action, but it isn't so bad. Since our first go was successful we have also tried it in the less formal stew version, which is also delicious. It really is the perfect dish to use up all the veggies you may have overestimated spring planting.
Ratatouille is more than a kids movie.
